In a side-by-project beside the study of automotive engineering, the design of an innovative, multidimensional speed measurement system has been created in 2020. The concept was successfully evaluated in March 2021 with the development of a prototype.

Advantages of multidimensional speed measurement due to Vektormessverfahren©:

• Speed measurement in defined areas throughout the entire traffic area (1D, 2D and 3D, exclusively for curves with curve radii less than 100 m, too)
• Individual measurement scenarios, e.g. measurement of the turning speed of heavy vehicles, can be displayed
• Optimisation of traffic flow by harmonising the speed level of all road users
